The Journey

Rooted in Heritage

Living Legacy Farms was born from a lifelong longing for a simpler, more meaningful way of living.

Nestled in a small town of just over 3,000 people in Northeast Texas, our home rests on two quiet acres where creativity, craftsmanship, learning, and heritage come together. Though I once imagined “farm life” as sprawling fields and endless acreage, I eventually discovered something that changed my perspective entirely: a farm is not defined by size, but by what it cultivates and produces. When I learned that land producing handmade goods and meaningful harvests could rightfully be called a farm,

I realized I had already arrived ~ And so, Living Legacy Farms was born.

What began as a personal journey toward intentional living slowly grew into a heritage lifestyle rooted in craftsmanship, faith, beauty, and legacy. Here, handmade pottery, woven textiles, candles, quilts, embroidery, educational resources, and thoughtful writings are created slowly and with purpose—each piece carrying the warmth of human hands and the story of a life being intentionally built.

Living Legacy Farms is not a large commercial farm. It is something quieter and perhaps more meaningful: a small modern homestead devoted to preserving the lost arts of living and creating goods that bring beauty, peace, and lasting value into everyday life.

This is a place where creativity still matters. Where books are treasured, candles are lit slowly, textiles are woven thoughtfully, and handmade pieces are meant to be used, loved, and passed down. More than a business, Living Legacy Farms is an invitation—to slow down, create beauty, honor heritage, and cultivate a meaningful life worth leaving behind.

My Experience

For most of my life, I have been drawn to the beauty of things made slowly and well.

Long before Living Legacy Farms had a name, I found myself collecting skills and experiences that connected me to older ways of living—weaving, pottery, quilting, embroidery, knitting, sewing, candle making, and the simple joy of creating something meaningful with my hands. As a seamstress and fiber artist, I have always been fascinated by the textures, colors, and stories found within handmade work and the quiet dignity woven into traditional craftsmanship, hospitality, music, learning, and home.

Professionally, I have spent decades serving others in both healthcare and nonprofit leadership. I am a Registered Nurse with both an Associate Degree and Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, and my years in nursing deeply shaped my understanding of compassion, attentiveness, and the importance of creating spaces of comfort, peace, and beauty even in difficult seasons of life.

In addition to healthcare, I currently work in philanthropy operations for a nonprofit organization and also serve on the board of a nonprofit dedicated to serving the community. These experiences have strengthened my desire to build work that is rooted not only in creativity, but also in service, stewardship, and meaningful impact.

Music has also been woven throughout my life. I hold an Associate Degree in Applied Music and play the harp, piano, and cello. Music, much like the handmade arts, has taught me the beauty of discipline, rhythm, expression, and creating moments that nourish the soul.

Teaching and biblical study have likewise become an important part of my journey. I serve as a women’s Bible teacher and teach Biblical Hebrew, helping others engage more deeply with Scripture, language, faith, and spiritual heritage. The study of Scripture and the beauty of biblical language have profoundly shaped both my personal life and the heart behind Living Legacy Farms.

Over the years, what began as individual creative interests slowly became something more intentional. I realized that the things I loved most were not simply hobbies—they were expressions of a deeper longing to live thoughtfully, faithfully, and meaningfully.

Today, from our small two-acre homestead in Northeast Texas, I continue that journey through Living Legacy Farms. Here, I create handcrafted pottery, woven textiles, candles, quilts, embroidery, knitted goods, educational resources, and written studies that reflect both artistry and heritage. Each piece carries the influence of a life shaped by faith, service, family, creativity, learning, and the enduring belief that handmade things still matter.

Living Legacy Farms is the coming together of many seasons of my life: nursing and nurturing, music and creativity, teaching and learning, philanthropy and service, fiber arts and craftsmanship, working and worshiping. It is both a personal journey and an invitation to others—to rediscover beauty, embrace slower rhythms, cultivate meaningful traditions, and preserve the lost arts of living for future generations.

My Vision

My vision for Living Legacy Farms is to build a meaningful and sustainable life rooted in faith, craftsmanship, beauty, learning, and heritage while offering thoughtfully handcrafted goods that bring warmth, purpose, and timeless artistry into everyday living.

From my small two-acre homestead in Northeast Texas, I create and sell handcrafted pottery, woven textiles, candles, quilts, embroidery, fiber art, educational resources, and heritage-inspired creations that reflect a slower and more intentional way of life. Through these handmade works, along with biblical teaching, music, and thoughtful learning resources, I hope to encourage others to rediscover the beauty of craftsmanship, meaningful traditions, and lives lived with purpose and legacy in mind.

Living Legacy Farms is both my personal journey and my creative offering—a place where artistry, faith, homemaking, learning, and the lost arts of living are preserved, practiced, and shared with future generations.
